So Dawn took several days off work last week, as well as yesterday. The plan is to get the house on the market as soon as possible. Unfortunately I was sick for the majority of the time Dawn was off, so she spent most of that time working solo. We did manage to get some things in storage. The upstairs is now pretty much empty save my office closet that has my laptop, envelopes, things for bills, and so on. I plan on talking to Home Depot (I heard they do a good job on carpeting) this week about the upstairs and steps that still need to be done.
The yard needs a little loving care, but with the odd weather I'm not sure how effective we'll be on that. And I need someone to look at the garage door. Aside from those, we're pretty much done with the current house. Not to skip over much, but Dawn also finished painting over the weekend.
The other bit of news is that we paid the land off.
Sort of.
We actually took out a couple of loans that had less interest overall, so BB&T has been paid off for the land. We should be getting the deed in the mail at some point.
But there's still a lot of work to be done.
