Dawn and I were asked to go to the building site this morning to see the door and window guy. We were supposed to meet him at 9am.
We got there, chatted for about 2-minutes, then he left. Now we have to meet him at his office on Friday to go over details on the windows and doors. A little confusing overall.
While we were there, we walked around with Rusty. While going through the basement, it hit me--the theater room is much too small. As much as it pained me to do this, I decided that we should knock out the wall between the theater room and the kids' playroom (or as Dawn calls it, "the Lego room") and just give them a bigger room. I have been talking about having a dedicated room for years, so I had to assure Dawn that it was ok. We ran it by Rusty who checked the plans. It is not a load-bearing wall, so there would no issues with removing the framing.
So, my poor theater room, you get to rest in peace long before you ever existed. We will meet again later after the kids have moved out.
